Intoxicated? Put Down That Firearm!
A bill pending before Hawaii legislators would forbid聽the physical possession of any firearm “while consuming or under the influence of an intoxicant.”
Hawaii law 聽instances in which owning or possessing a firearm is a no-no.
Some examples:
- fugitives from justice
- those convicted of a felony
- people diagnosed as having significant behavioral, emotional or mental disorders
proposes to add another reason: prohibiting聽the “physical possession” of any firearm while consuming or under the influence of an intoxicant.
