He may not be allowed to run for a third term, per law, but Ernie Martin of the Honolulu City Council is asking for political contributions just the same.
The Council chair has scheduled Thursday night at 3660 On the Rise. The suggested donation is between $500 and $1,000.
Martin’s seat is up in 2018. There is still talk that he may challenge Mayor Kirk Caldwell this year, but nothing official.
Meanwhile, the names of Duke Aiona, Peter Carlisle and Charles Djou have also surfaced as potential contenders.
