Donald Trump’s fast rise in Republican politics has been marked with politically incorrect, insensitive and even racist remarks.
That’s prompted University of California law professor Ian Haney Lopez to put together a lecture he calls聽“Trumpeting Racism: Race, Politics, and Economic Jeopardy for All.”
Lopez is scheduled to deliver the speech at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2 in the Architecture Auditorium on the University of Hawaii Manoa campus. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Lopez is the John H. Boalt Professor of Law at the University of California, Berkeley聽and a leading thinker on “whiteness”聽as it functions in law and politics, according to a UH press release.
