By now you’ve heard about involving Hawaii County聽Mayor Billy Kenoi and how he used his government charge card to make about $30,000 in purchases in violation of county regulations. But there’s still a lot of discussion over what the consequences ought to be for this breach of the public trust.

Pod Squad host Chad Blair asked Civil Beat opinion editor Todd Simmons to talk about why our editorial board is calling for Kenoi to resign.聽 In particular, Simmons noted, as Kenoi’s responsibilities grow, the standard of accountability grows with it.
