Honolulu Traffic Third Most Congested Nationally
Only Los Angeles and San Francisco have it worse, says a new report.
Honolulu ranks No. 3 in the country when it comes to traffic congestion.
That’s according to the , which was released Tuesday.
The study shows that Honolulu-area drivers with 30-minute commutes average 88 hours — almost four full days — per year stuck in traffic.

Los Angeles and San Francisco took the No. 1 and No. 2 slots, respectively. New York City was No. 4 followed by Seattle.

The worst cities internationally for traffic are Istanbul, Mexico City and Rio de Janeiro.
Back here at home, by the way, TomTom says the best weekday commute during peak periods are Friday mornings and Monday evenings.
