The latest challenge to Calvin Say’s residency status is over.
On Friday, the Hawaii House of Representatives voted unanimously聽to adopt an investigative report that聽found no 鈥渃ompelling evidence鈥 that Say did not meet “the requisite qualifications” to represent District 20.
Six residents of the district, which represents聽St. Louis Heights, Palolo, Maunalani Heights, Wilhelmina Rise and Kaimuki, argued that the speaker emeritus聽actually resides elsewhere.
Late last month, a special House聽committee unanimously found聽Say was qualified to continue representing聽District 20 “as he has for the past three-plus decades.”
