State Rep. Rida Cabanilla needs to eat too.聽

She can鈥檛 just spend all her campaign money feeding volunteers. The candidate seeking re-election needs to fill up her tank as well.

It says so right in her most recent , filed Wednesday with the Hawaii Campaign Spending Commission.聽

Cabanilla spent $31.65, July 8, at Pueo鈥檚 Restaurant in Ewa Beach. Sole reason provided for the mixed-benefit expense? 鈥淚 need to eat too.鈥

In all, she spent $2,033 during the reporting period, which covers July 1 to July 25. Much of that was food, including $264 for a fundraiser at Seven Palms Bar in Honolulu, and postage for campaign fliers.

Cabanilla is running against Matt LoPresti for the Democratic nomination in the Aug. 9 primary.

LoPresti between July 1 and July 25, predominantly for advertising, signage and mailers.
