Civil Beat presents a special Earth Day edition of Civil Cafe, where we discuss Honolulu’s future for bicycling and transportation.

Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell has committed himself to upgrading city infrastructure to not only promote better bike safety, but put more bicyclists on the road, as Sophie Cocke reported in this March story.

Today we welcome our two guests for a discussion moderated by Sophie:

  • Mike Formby, director of the city Department of Transportation Services
  • Chad Taniguchi, executive director of the Hawaii Bicycling League
