Pritchett: Skeletons in the Closet

Gov. Neil Abercrombie‘s nomination of Circuit Court Judge Michael Wilson to the Hawaii Supreme Court didn’t get too much attention at first. Then the Hawaii State Bar Association showed up at a Senate hearing on the nominee with a bombshell: its board of directors had rated Wilson “unqualified” to serve on the state’s highest court. Concerns are coming to light over unprofessional conduct, especially toward women in the workplace (and even a Miss Universe candidate). Another Senate hearing has been slated for Saturday at the urging of the Senate Women’s Caucus. The unfolding drama has political cartoonist John Pritchett watching to see if more skeletons emerge from Wilson’s closet.
