The U.S. Senate today unanimously passed聽the House of Representative’s version of the聽Undetectable Firearms Act, which grants a 10-year extension of the ban on plastic, undetectable guns.

But the measure does not聽prevent homemade production of plastic guns using devices like 3-D printers. 聽

Sen. Brian Schatz is a co-sponsor with other Democrats to close loopholes in the bill, but, according to Schatz’s office,听厂别苍补迟辞谤 Charles Grassley (R-Iowa)听objected to amending the measure.

鈥淲e should be able to take action on stopping homemade, virtually invisible firearms. This is a no-brainer,鈥 said Schatz.
