A Honolulu City Council committee is meeting Wednesday to hear a new version of a resolution urging the city to address the sewer problems in Kakaako.
The Committee on Public Works and Sustainability is holding a hearing at 1pm to consider the resolution, which includes  compared with the first draft.
Residents of Kakaako have been voicing concerns about their sewer problems in light of the state’s plans to build up to 30 new buildings in the area.
The Hawaii Community Development Authority met Tuesday to hear testimony from community members about building proposals for 801 South St. and 803 Waimanu St.
Many are worried that the proposed towers will stress the neighborhood’s infrastructure.
