EARLIER:聽HPD is investigating reports of an Asian man who is distraught and “possibly armed with a weapon.”聽
The University put out the following alert:聽
This is an official emergency notification. 聽HPD and UH M膩noa Campus Security are investigating a report of a distraught male who is possibly armed with a weapon. 聽Suspect is described as an Asian male approximately 5’7” tall, wearing black and blue long-sleeve shirt, dark shorts and a baseball cap, and carrying a blue backpack. Until this situation has been declared safe by HPD, please stay away from Manoa Stream behind East-West Center, Waahila Faculty Housing and School of Hawaiian Knowledge. Please take precautions. 聽If you see this person or anything suspicious, call 911 for HPD or 956-6911 immediately.
