ThinkTech and the Hawaii Venture Capital Association collaborate on producing monthly luncheon programs for the business community. The program this month, set for March 22, is entitled “Kakaako Arising! Rising to meet Hawaii’s Future” and will deal with the prospects and projects of landowners, developers, designers and innovators who are in the process of remaking Kakaako.
In the process, and long before all the brick and mortar is in place, Kakaako is becoming more of a neighborhood community than it has been in decades, and this portends well for its future. In the Kakaako Arising! Program, we’ll get to meet some of the people who are building that community, we’ll see some of their projects and businesses and hear about their visions for Kakaako going forward.
ThinkTech has a video studio and produces shows for Olelo and OC16 in that studio. In the video, Jay and Bill get together for a discussion of the Kakaako Arising! Program, why they have organized it, who will be involved, what it is intended to portray and what it means for the community. As you can see, they are both excited about the program.
About the authors: Jay Fidell is a local business attorney and president of ThinkTech Hawaii. Bill Spencer is a local businessman and president of the Hawaii Venture Capital Association.
