Honolulu police made only one arrest in Waikiki overnight — for a minor theft offense.
A 30-year-old male with no local address was arrested at 5:32 p.m. Wednesday. Ryan Patrick Peterson was arrested at Paki Avenue and Monsarrat Avenue — outside the heart of Waikiki near Kapiolani Park.
He was charged with , a petty misdemeanor, which applies to values of $100 or less.
No other arrests were made in Waikiki as of 5 a.m. Thursday, according to the police arrests log. Despite reports that there would be an influx of prostitutes to Waikiki for the conference, there has not been a single prostitution arrest since Nov. 2.
