What would you do if faced with a large wooly creature with horns? Take pictures!
Civil Beat reported last week that we spotted what looked like a mouflon sheep living in Aiea, near Pearl City.
It turns out we weren’t alone. Residents of a suburb on the edge of a woodsy forest above Aiea say the ram has been wandering along Kaahele Street, into backyards, hopping fences. Boar sightings are common, but this horned animal caught Jonelle Tsunezumi by surprise.
“It actually came from the street, by our kitchen window,” she said. “My mom was doing dishes and she saw a head walking by.”
“It’s like waking up and seeing a buffalo in your yard,” Tsunezumi said.
