Instead of imparting knowledge, a Kailua High School teacher imparted a head wound to one of his students last week. The teacher, whose name has not been made public, was placed on administrative leave after allegedly throwing a hammer at a student in wood shop class. The student suffered a gash on his head that required four staples.

Last week, Civil Beat shared that 47 out of Hawaii’s 12,000 teachers have been fired or suspended for some form of misconduct over the last two years.
