Repairs on a Waikiki water main that broke and sent a flood of water into street-level shops continued Tuesday morning, with road fixes expected to take all day.
Honolulu Board of Water Supply crews worked through the night to repair a 12-inch water main that burst Monday morning, at one point leaving Royal Hawaiian Avenue knee-deep in water. Water has been restored to at least four Waikiki businesses affected by the break.
Royal Hawaiian Avenue between Kuhio Avenue and Waikolu Way remains closed.
