Transcript Paints Picture of a Divided Hawaii Senate
Last week, Civil Beat reported that four senators traded barbs on the floor after the nomination of William Aila Jr. was deferred.
We weren’t there to witness it in person, and the cameras weren’t on for us to watch on TV. But the Senate has made available to us a transcript of the exchange that reveals the depth and breadth of the argument and shows why Sen. Clayton Hee asked for more time to review Aila’s bid to run the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources.
