Talk about bias.

A woman shows up to testify as a victim at the Capitol on a proposed human trafficking bill. How did the Honolulu Star-Advertiser characterize her testimony? The headline says it all: “Ex-Hooker wants harsher penalty”

This to describe a woman who sobbed as she recounted being raped and threatened by her gun-wielding pimp to work the streets — or else.

Just like Rep. Faye Hanohano, who looked disgusted and twice rolled her eyes as the victim gave her testimony, the Star-Advertiser’s headline shows a complete lack of respect. Would they have written a headline saying, perhaps, a murder victim “had it coming”?
