Hawaiian Electric Co. has chosen a mainland company to provide power at Oahu’s first solar farm. IC Sunshine LLC, a subsidiary of California-based Axio Power Holdings LLC, has inked a 20-year agreement to sell power to HECO. Plans call for a five-megawatt solar farm sited on 20 acres at Campbell Industrial park. The farm is expected to power between 500 and 750 homes and begin service next year.
