Mayoral candidates disclosed their Wednesday, and acting Mayor Kirk Caldwell raked in more money than his opponents’ late-stage funds combined.
Over a period of 10 days, between Sept. 4 and Sept. 14, Acting Mayor Kirk Caldwell added to his campaign coffers.
He dwarfed opponent and front-runner Peter Carlisle‘s $17,100 over the same time period. Candidate Panos Prevedouros also surpassed Carlisle’s late-stage campaign earnings, pulling in $29,227.
Caldwell’s total receipts to date are now close to a million dollars, $970,247. In the past ten days, Caldwell received 11 donations of $1,000, 21 donations of $2,000 and three donations of $4,000.
His $4,000 contributors were Hawaii Operating Engineers Industry, Marjorie Tanoue and Terry Telfer.
Carlisle, , had six contributions of $1,000, one contribution of $2,000, one contribution of $3,950 and one contribution of $4,000.
His sole $4,000 contributor was Stanford Carr.
Carlisle’s total receipts are about half that of Caldwell’s, at $530,800.
Prevedouros’s total receipts are lower still. Donors have given him $167,570 to date. In the 10-day period for late filings, he received four $4,000 donations.
Rod Tam has raised $91,606 to date and also did not file any late contributions.
