At Civil Beat, we work hard to deliver you in-depth articles and valuable reporting every day. To help tell our stories, we try to add photos and video whenever we can. But we also know we have a long way to go in terms of rich media on our site. As a small shop in Kaimuki (but a growing one one thanks to you), there are only so many places we can be at once – that’s where you folks come in.

Today we are launching our , a page where you can upload your photos, look at others, and possibly submit a photo to be published on our site — whether with an article or just because it’s an awesome image. All you have to do is upload your shot, tag it so our Reporter-Hosts can find it and make sure your settings allow us to use it. That’s it! Also make sure that your contact information is current so we can give you the photo credit. Just don’t forget us “little guys” when you hit it big OK?

This is another way for the community to be a part of Civil Beat. In addition to being a critical part of our content through the discussions and story development, you now have a chance to be a part of the rich media content. But if you’re more into simply sharing your shots with a photo group in Hawaii, we are all eyes.

If you have any questions, comments or thoughts about our photo group, please leave me a note in the discussion below.
