More evidence that Republicans think they can recapture a Democratic seat: the Massachusetts Republican who stunned Democrats by winning Ted Kennedy’s old Senate seat has endorsed Hawaii congressional hopeful Charles Djou.
The Washington Post May 3 that Sen. Scott Brown has written a letter to his Hawaii donors to support Djou, a Honolulu councilman running in Hawaii’s 1st Congressional District.
Brown is lending his “star power” to other races, according to the Post. But a Djou win over two top Democrats in the winner-take-all May 22 issue would be especially sweet for the GOP: The 1st Congressional includes Honolulu, where President Obama was born.
